New to Autism Virtual Group

Thursday, October 21 | 6:30 – 7:30 PM

The New to Autism Group is a monthly virtual group for parents of children newly diagnosed with autism. Join us to connect with other parents for a casual discussion about shared experiences, community resources, and to learn more about the Autism Society. The group will be facilitated by Kelly Brodhagen, Resource Specialist and mother to three sons, two of whom are on the autism spectrum. Sign up to receive Zoom login information.

The group typically meets the third Thursday of the month from 6:30-7:30 pm.

Dads’ Virtual Support Group

Sunday, October 17 | 7:00 – 8:00 PM

This virtual group is a monthly opportunity for dads, grandfathers, and other male caregivers of autistic children to network, share experiences, and learn from one another.

The group will typically meet on the third Sunday of the month from 7:00 – 8:00 pm.

Minecraft Realms

With the June 8th Minecraft Java edition for PC update we now have Adult and Kids groups available in the realms. Realms will be available 24/7 once a player has received an invite to a realm. To access to the realms, please email This is monitored by the host who can send the invites within 48 hours. Once you have been invited to the realms you will have access ongoing. Stop Motion Movie Club

Friday, October 8th | 7:00 pm

The purpose of the club is to discuss stop motion movie making, share movies that were made, or discuss ideas for new movies. This is for people new to the hobby or experienced. This group is for teens ages 13-19.

The October meeting/lesson will focus on timing and will be guided by Cole Kirkendall, a recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee’s film production department. Cole has worked primarily with stop motion animation, and visual art over the last three years, and has had several short films shown at festivals internationally.

Trivia Night

Wednesday, October 13 | 6:30pm
Join the Autism Society of Greater Wisconsin and the Fox Valley affiliate for a night of trivia questions! The theme for the night is Wisconsin Sports. The event will begin at 6:30pm over Zoom. Individuals and families are welcome!  RSVP is required. Click below to register.


Online Teen Hang Out

Teens with autism are welcome to join us online to chat and play games! Please sign up to receive Zoom information.

Beginning in February, the teen hang outs will be divided in two suggested age groups. The first group of the month will be designed for older teens and the second of the month will be designed for younger teens and pre-teens. Participants are welcome to join either group and choose which feels like the best fit for them.

Transition to Adulthood Series

The ‘Transition to Adulthood’ Discussion Series is designed to bring together autistic youth, their parents, and other professionals to learn about and discuss emerging topics throughout the transition from youth to adulthood. Topics in the discussion series range from mental health, learning to drive, and talking about sex, to entering the workforce and navigating Social Security.
