Autism Society of Greater Wisconsin Celebrates #GivingTuesday with #SpectrumofOpportunity Campaign

Autism Society of Greater Wisconsin is responding to meet the needs of the autism community through resource development, support & social groups, educational programming, and community building.

This Giving Tuesday, the Autism Society of Greater Wisconsin, alongside Autism Society Affiliates nationwide, will inspire generosity by creating a #SpectrumOfOpportunity for the autism community to access supports and services through the COVID-19 pandemic. The Autism Society has supported people with autism and their families through resource development, educational programming, support and social groups, and more since the pandemic began. The organization hopes to raise $2,000 during Giving Tuesday, to continue support efforts.

GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement, and will kick off the giving season by inspiring people to give back on December 1, 2020, and throughout the year.

The autism community needs continued support and services as the world enters another phase of the pandemic. The Autism Society is poised to be responsive and listen to the needs of its constituents as new challenges unfold. Through good days and bad days, challenging times and moments of joy, the Autism Society continues to work to create a #SpectrumOfOpportunity across the spectrum and throughout the lifespan.

Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Autism Society of Greater Wisconsin has supported the autism community through our resource phone line, virtual events and groups, continued outreach to families newly diagnosed with autism, and more. For Giving Tuesday, the $2,000 fundraising goal will be used to support our mission and continue to create opportunities for individuals with autism and their families to live quality, supported lives during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This Giving Tuesday, the Autism Society encourages everyone to get involved through generosity, giving, and spreading awareness. In an effort to engage potential donors through virtual fundraising, we’ve created the 100X  Challenge, a peer-to-peer fundraising challenge that asks donors to:

  • Host a virtual fundraiser on Facebook or platform of your choosing
  • Raise $100+
  • Challenge 3 friends to do the same, continuing the cycle

The #SpectrumOfOpportunity campaign kicks off on November 9, 2020, and will continue through Giving Tuesday, December 1st, 2020. To make a donation, click here.
